Small Repurposed Farm Table

We offer our Antiqued Painted Finish in both light and dark colors. It is an authentic,

one color, aged, paint finish. It is aged, and distressed, so the edges and high points are

worn through to wood and glazed. It's one of our 3 custom lines of

painted finishes that we offer at The Restoration Studio. We also

offer a Classic painted finish as well as our Primitive painted finish.

Below: This table was in need of help, so it found it's way to our studio for some

design alterations, a new top and a custom painted base. 

Below: My first objective was to straighten out the splayed legs. I felt this table was too small

to pull of the splayed leg design it had, making it appear a little awkward. 

 Below: After the paint was done on the base, My next plan was to turn this Plain Jane

Farm Table into a piece that would demand attention and own a room.

That would call for a new top. Not just any new top would do, so I

hand selected some highly figured Tiger Maple and glued up a new solid wood top.

Now my vision for this little table was starting to come together.

Tiger Maple is a personal favorite of mine, and I have spent a lot of time finishing it

over my career and  learning how to get the most out of the spectacular figuring. Finished

properly, it will make other woods green with envy.

Below:  If this little farm table could speak...it would say "look at me, look at me"

When I set out to repurpose and redesign this table, this is exactly what I imagined it

should look like.
